The complete range of topics related to the development of forms and
menus-based applications.
Participants are able to build a mini application environment using all
the facilities contained in the standard PDMS application. They are also shown
how to customise existing AVEVA applications while maintaining the integrity
of them. Course content will be based on PDMS. |
Who it's for |
Anyone who will be writing applications like the PDMS
applicationware.
This course follows on from the Programmable Macro Language (PML) although it may be held separately if required. |

Overview of user interface customisation Understanding the standard features of forms and knowing the range of gadgets available with their normal uses. Creating menus Creating menu bars and sub menus on a form and linking them to the relevant action using a macro, form or direct command. Creating graphical views Creating different graphical views for different types of application Editing volume views by macro to set different views directions and options. Creating form gadgets Creating appropriate form gadgets. Setting the appropriate form variables and execute call-backs to check input and other parameters for a number of different functions. Using the standard PDMS/PEGS applicationware Learning about and working with the standard PDMS/PEGS applicationware. Being able to replace standard application forms with user customised ones without destroying the originals. |
